If you would like to learn a platform enabling the uninitiated to generate podcast code and an associated community to help maximize a podcaster’s audience, this interview is for you. (Part 1 of 2).

Two problems are common to most podcasters, even large corporate ones.

First, most of us do not know XML programming. Therefore, we need a simple tool to generate the code for us. Moreover, the tool must be reliable so that the code it produces is “friendly” with common podcast aggregating software that our audience will likely be using, such as Apple’s iTunes.
Second, we need a way to optimize the distribution of our podcasts. For example there are already over 100,000 regular podcast shows registered with iTunes which implies fierce competition for audience members. Perhaps one way we can optimize the distribution of our podcasts is to join a podcast community that is much like the social networking communities, such as MySpace, but is instead dedicated to podcasters.
Our interview today is with a company providing services to address both of the problems noted above.
Our guest is Rob Safuto who is the Director of Marketing for Raw Voice. His company has a platform that will generate podcast XML code which is especially helpful for those of us not trained in the programming language. Also, Raw Voice has online communities designed for people who want to listen to, and watch, podcasts.
