Internet People Search Tool Providing Facial Images - Part 2 of 2
Podcast Video | Posted by Phil Leigh on July 19, 2007
(Part 2 of 2) If you would like to learn about a “people search” tool on the Internet that will show you facial images of the individuals associated with the name you are searching for, this interview is for you.
Our guest today is Ed Petersen who is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Intelius. His company started a new website called Zumende.com that enables you to search for people on the Internet. In addition to searching public and professional records, like the telephone white pages, it also crawls the Net to look for photos associated with the name you are looking for.
Recently I had occasions to use the Internet to search for old college classmates and friends who I haven’t seen in decades. I was taking vacations to cities where I thought they might be living. Thus, the vacations would provide opportunities to get reacquainted. I used some of the people search tools on the Net to find the guys. It took a little work to be sure I identified the right person since most of us share names with many more people than I had supposed.
Later I learned about zumende.com and was intrigued by how the tool locates facial images connected to the names I was searching. For example, you can try it out yourself with my name. Go to zumende.com and enter my name in the search window. You don’t even have to know the state where I live, but if you know what I look like you will be able to identify the correct Phil Leigh.
