Part 2 - A Platform and Community for Podcasters
Podcast Video | Posted by Phil Leigh on May 22, 2007
If you would like to simplify the creation of your podcast and optimize your audience, this interview is for you. (Part 2 of 2).
Our guest today is Rob Safuto who is the Director of Marketing at Raw Voice. His company offers products and services for audience optimization and simplified XML code generation.
Podcasters, even those with large corporate resources, often have two problems.
First, most of us don’t know XML programming. We need a simple tool to generate the code for us. Moreover, the tool must be reliable enough so as to generate code that is “friendly” with the podcast aggregating software that our audience commonly uses, such as Apple’s iTunes.
Second, we need a systematic way to optimize the audience. There are already over 100,000 regular podcast shows registered with iTunes which means that the competition for audience members is fierce. Perhaps one way to optimize distribution to a relevant audience is to join a podcast community; one that is much like the more familiar social networking communities, such as MySpace, but is instead dedicated to podcasters.
The subject company of our interview today provides services to address both problems.
This video interview is covered in about 10 minutes.
